Master Association Update
Since the minutes of each Master Association board meeting must be voted on & accepted before they can be published, September’s summary will be ratified at October’s board meeting & published in November’s newsletter.
Pot Luck
This month’s pot luck will be held on Sunday, October 9, at 6:00PM at the Lake House & will be hosted by Debbie & Mike Buck & Gerri & Don Crane. The entrée will be Coq au Vin with wild rice. Soft drinks, coffee, & iced tea will be provided. Please BYOB if you’d like an adult beverage before or during dinner. To make reservations & to coordinate the vegetable, salad, dessert or hors d’oeuvre you will bring call Gerri (862-5667) or Debbie (883-2440) no later than Tuesday, October 4th.
Women’s Book Club
Janet Masengill will lead the discussion of this month’s selection, “An Unfinished Life” by Mark Spragg. This book is available at Highland Books at a 10% discount to book club members. The meeting will be held at the Lake House at 1:00PM on Monday, October 17th.
Car Rallye
Straus Park’s First Annual Car Rallye will be held October 22nd (or 23rd in case of fog or rain). It will begin at the Lake House at 1:30. It’s free, & no experience is required. Couples Bridge
Call Linda Neumann at 884-7967 to sign up for couples bridge to be held on Friday, October 28th.
Committee Volunteers for 2006
To facilitate better continuity during the turnover of committee members for the next year, the Master Association has requested that a volunteer form be placed on www.strauspark.org/volunteer. The form will allow the new Master Association board to have a list of volunteers at hand immediately upon taking office.
